My Polaris Quattro Sport crapped out AGAIN. Who thought it was a good idea to build a $1400 mechanical pool robot out of purely plastic gears? The last time it completely crapped out, the problem was the gearbox and I couldn't find a single obvious thing wrong with it after taking it all apart and putting it back together again. I was hopeful that disassembling and reassembling it would do something magical, but it still wouldn't work and it was obvious that it was the gearbox that was the issue, so I bit the bullet and shelled out a HuNDReD dollars for a replacement gearbox.
