While reverse-engineering the Sky Mech, the Earth Forces decided to utilize some of the knowledge they had gained: a proof of concept for future designs like the Jet Mech. This mech, while using the same frame as the Buster and Range Mechs, was outfitted with a short range propulsion pack that would allow the mech to "jump". A new head unit was developed to give the pilot greater field of view and the ability to identify potential jump locations.
